News:

  1.  Fall Book Fair/Literacy Night:  A big thank you to everybody who made it out.  We had a great turnout!! We hope you found this event a valuable use of your time.
  1.  Computer Science Club:  Maxwell Intermediate School is excited to offer an enrichment program for all students, the “CSC” or Computer Science Club.  This is a beginning course that is open to all fourth, fifth, and sixth grade students who did not participate in our Computer Science Clubs last year. Sessions will be held on Monday afternoons from 2:15 to 3:15pm or Wednesday mornings from 7:00-7:35am. Registration is limited to the first 60 students.

  1.  PTO Fundraiser Money:  We appreciate all of you who have participated in this event, and we would like to remind you that all money and order forms are due on Monday.  Please be sure to get this turned in.  Again, we appreciate your support!!
  1.  Parent/Teacher Conferences:  P/T conferences will occur over two evenings (November 2nd & November 9th) from 4-7pm.  If you have not already signed up for a time/date and would still like one, please contact your child’s homeroom teacher.
  1.  Art News:Miss Muehl is hosting 2 after school sewing projects this Fall Semester:

Beginning Hand Sewing is available to 4th and 5th grade students (or any 6th grade student who wants to help or was not at MIS as a 5th grader). Students will be creating their own original mini emoji pillows. Students in beginning hand sewing do not need to bring in any materials, however they are welcome to do so.

Advanced Hand Sewing is available to 6th grade students and 5th grade students who already know how to hand sew well. Students must bring in their own fabrics and designs for this project. Sewing needles and thread will be provided.  Advanced Hand Sewing is an open choice project for students.

  1. School Photos:  Picture re-takes will take place on September 27th.
  2.  Hurricane Relief:  The GCHS Interact Club and Greenfield-Central School Corporation are joining forces with the Hancock County FOP and Midwest Food Bank to collect items and monetary donations for Hurricane Relief.  We are accepting donations to help the victims of the hurricane disasters in Florida and Texas.

Donations of items and money will be collected at the September 22nd Football Games.               NO Glass containers can be accepted.

Monetary donations in the form of checks should be made payable to GCHS.  Please put             Hurricane Relief Fund on the Memo Line and send to GCHS, Attn:  ConnieJo Harris, 810           N. Broadway Street, Greenfield, IN  46140

Please bring the following:

  • Bottled Water in plastic bottles
  • Baby Wipes
  • Formula
  • Diapers
  • Baby Shampoo in plastic bottles
  • Body Wash in plastic bottles
  • Baby Lotion in plastic bottles
  • Dog Food
  • Cat Food
  • Canned Food
  • Mosquito repellent

-Classes start at 7:50 a.m. Doors to parent drop-off at Door 10 open at 7:40. Please use parent entrance off of CR 500 North.

-Don't forget to update your child's transportation information using School Dismissal Manager. Please make changes by 1:30 to ensure that your child is properly notified of changes.

-We are pleased to offer a Grab and Go style breakfast to students this year.
