News:

  1.  Fall Book Fair/Literacy Night:  The book fair will be open September 18th-22nd.  The book fair will also be open during our Family Literacy night on Tuesday, September 19th from 6:30-7:30 PM.   Please see the attached document for more details about Literacy Night.
  2. Book Fair News:
  •     Come to play games & win fabulous prizes for your family and your classroom!!
  •     Free “Homework Pass” for attending Family Night
  •     Can also shop the Online Fair at www.scholastic.com/fair for even more selection
  •     Can pre-order the NEW Diary of a Wimpy Kid book The Getaway for $8.99 at our Fair (due out in November, delivered to our school for free)
  1.  Outside Food Brought to the Cafeteria:  Per our handbook (page 15), parents may choose to bring food in to their children.  If you choose to do this, you may bring food for your child(ren) only.  You may not bring food in for other children.
  2.  PTO News: (a.)  Congratulations to Jennifer Gustin, who won the gift basket drawing at Open House; b.)  The PTO will be hosting several “Dine to Donate” evenings this year.  Simply put, you eat at a certain restaurant on the MIS night, our PTO makes a portion of the profits.  Our first for this school year will be held at Dairy Queen on October 25th from 4-7 pm; c.)  PTO Fall Fest will be held Saturday, October 28th from 2-4 pm.
  3. Bus Evacuation Drills: These will take place for all of our buses on Monday, September 18th after school.  Please plan on students arriving 10-15 minutes late on this evening.
  4. School Photos:  Picture re-takes will take place on September 27th.
  5. Hurricane Relief:  The GCHS Interact Club and Greenfield-Central School Corporation are joining forces with the Hancock County FOP and Midwest Food Bank to collect items and monetary donations for Hurricane Relief.  We are accepting donations to help the victims of the hurricane disasters in Florida and Texas.
  • Donations of items and money will be collected at the September 15th & September 22nd Football Games. NO Glass containers can be accepted.
  • Monetary donations in the form of checks should be made payable to GCHS.  Please put Hurricane Relief Fund on the Memo Line and send to GCHS, Attn:  ConnieJo Harris, 810 N. Broadway Street, Greenfield, IN  46140

Please bring the following:

  • Bottled Water in plastic bottles
  • Baby Wipes
  • Formula
  • Diapers
  • Baby Shampoo in plastic bottles
  • Body Wash in plastic bottles
  • Baby Lotion in plastic bottles
  • Dog Food
  • Cat Food
  • Canned Food
  • Mosquito repellent

**School student day 7:50 AM - 2:10 PM and office hours from 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM

-Classes start at 7:50 a.m. Doors to parent drop-off at Door 10 open at 7:40. Please use parent entrance off of CR 500 North.

-Don't forget to update your child's transportation information using School Dismissal Manager. Please make changes by 1:30 to ensure that your child is properly notified of changes.

-We are pleased to offer a Grab and Go style breakfast to students this year.
