Online Registration — Online registration will open at noon on Monday for the 2013-14 school year through PowerSchool. To register your student(s), logon to the PowerSchool parent portal and access your student’s account. Then, follow the prompts.
Walk-In Registration — We will be open for walk in registrations next Wednesday and Thursday from 12:00-7:00 p.m.
Textbook Rental Fees — We would also like to remind you that book rental payment is due no later than the first day of school. If you are on deferred payment, then the due date will be September 20th this year. We will have tables available to collect payment during open house should you like to take advantage of this opportunity. Otherwise, please send with your child on the first day of school.
Open House/Meet the Teacher Nights — Please note that there is no formal presentation per se on any of these evenings. Therefore, if you can’t make it until 6:45 or 7:00, please know you will still get the same opportunity to see the building/classrooms and meet the teachers:

MATH BOWL NEWS — Both of our teams (4th and 5th/6th) performed well at Thursday’s competition. The 5th/6th grade finished two points out of 1st while our 4th grade finished first overall at Sugar Creek! When all of the scores throughout the state were tabulated Friday, we learned that we had tied for the best score in the state in the 4th grade division. Unfortunately, we were defeated on a tie-breaker placing us 2nd out of 64 teams from across the state which is quite an accomplishment. We are very proud of both teams.
Snow Make-Up Days — The make-up day for last Friday is set for Tuesday, March 19th. Therefore, we are now in school on Monday and Tuesday March 18th and 19th.
Hancock County Birthday Celebration — The Hancock County Community Foundation is proud to host our county’s 185th birthday celebration. We celebrated Friday, March 1, with a friendly competition between the county school corporations. Show your spirit and celebrate by voting for your school on Friday between now and 11:59pm tonight at www.giveHCgrowHC.org. Every vote made during this time period will receive a portion of the $4000 made from the Spirit of Community Fund’s Lifelong Learning Fund. The more votes a school corporation receives, the greater percentage of the $4000 HCCF will grant to its Educational Foundation.
Intermediate Swim Night – This event has been canceled due to rescheduling of events at the high school from the day missed due to weather last Friday.
The ISTEP Testing Window is HERE — This assessment is given in two testing windows (Applied Skills: THIS WEEK and Basic Skills: April 29-May 3). We do kindly request that you avoid scheduling any appointments during these two timeframes. If your child misses the scheduled test time, they will have to make up the testing session while other students are in class which causes them to miss further instruction. Thanks for your help and understanding in this matter.

Other Camp and Clinic Information in the MIS Office — We have several brochures regarding camps and sport clinic information available in the office. If your child might have an interest, please have them stop by to see what all is being offered.

A Letter from Mr. Stroud – Mr. Stroud, our school social worker is planning to offer some opportunities for Maxwell Intermediate students to be involved in some groups that could help support them. Please read the Groups Newletter for more information.

-School is now in session for 2016-2017. Classes start at 7:50 a.m. Doors to parent drop-off at Door 10 open at 7:40. Please use parent entrance off of CR 500 North.
-Don't forget to update your child's transportation information using school dismissal manager. Please make changes by 1:30 to ensure that your child is properly notified of changes.
